§ 8-8. Penalty for violation of chapter.

As provided in section 1-6, violations of this article may be enforced by any one or more of the remedies authorized by G.S. 153A-123, including, but not limited to, the following:

(1)

The airport director or his designee may issue a citation which subjects the offender to a civil penalty, as noted in the ILM rates and fees schedule, to be recovered by the airport authority in a civil action in the nature of a debt if the offender does not pay the penalty within 20 days after being cited for a violation.

(2)

A misdemeanor warrant may be issued either immediately or upon the issuance of and the violator's failure to pay a citation.

(3)

A civil action seeking an injunction and order of abatement may be commenced.
